She has covered the Middle East, health care, Wall Street, business and general news for Reuters; served as a World and North American Desk Editor for Reuters, covered general and entertainment news for the AP in Los Angeles, and covered entertainment marketing, branded entertainment and Hollywood premieres and events for The Hollywood Reporter.

She also served as media director and celebrity liaison for the 2003 presidential primary campaign of Gen. Wesley Clark in Los Angeles and is founder and president of AWAKEN PR, which specializes in providing public relations, media strategy, media training, web content and blogging services to clients in the non-profit, education, public policy and health care fields.
